  • I was lucky enough to be granted this read from St Martin s Press via Net Galley There has been varied reviews on this book by Marti Green, and that is good, because we all have different varying degrees of what we like, what love, what we enjoy In my humble opinion it gives a good rounded idea to anyone thinking of purchases it.I for one loved this read.We have Molly who was convicted of murdering her parents She has been in prison now for years missing her daughter Sophie growing up.A lot of p [...]

  • I could not get into this book at all, let s just say it did not float my boat I was excited by the blurb but the delivery was so drawn out and flat for me, I was bored and wanting to skim for most of the book, never a good sign One of those books with a good plot but the way it s written just doesn t thrill or engage, at least in my humble opinion Twelve years ago, teenager Molly Singer was tried and convicted for murdering her parents She was sentenced to two consecutive life terms in prison, [...]

  • PRESUMPTION OF GUILT Help Innocent Prisoners Project 2 by Marti Green, a compelling novel of injustice and murder A legal suspense thriller, of a flawed criminal justice system, greed, and a young innocent girl caught in the cross fire Attorney Dani Trumball, is an Ivy League trained lawyer devoted both to seeking justice for the wrongly convicted and to her husband and son She returns from Book One, Unintended Consequences, a driven attorney defending the wrongfully imprisoned at the non profit [...]

  • I received an ARC of this book through a GoodReads giveaway This was a good, suspenseful novel, with sympathetic characters and plenty of legal detail Dana Trumball, an attorney who works for the Help Innocent Prisoners Project, is approached by another parent at her son s school performance That parent requests that Dana look into her sister Molly s 12 year old conviction for the murder of their parents although she initially believed her sister was guilty, she has changed her mind, based on he [...]

  • I received this book through Netgalley Thank you to Netgalley, to Publishing, and to Marti Green.Molly Singer was convicted of the murder of her parents 12 years ago and was sentenced to an unusually harsh sentence of two consecutive life terms in prison She has lost everything her chance to go to college, her boyfriend, her sister, and her daughter She has a glimmer of hope when Dani from the Help Innocent Prisoners Project takes on her case Molly s sister has received two letters stating that [...]

  • great book both in content and the storyI will now read any and all books by Martin Green A real page turner Love her style I couldn t put the book down.Jim Stanley

  • JusticeA lot of people are currently in the jail s and didn t get fair trails due to corruption This is about how justice was done for one.

  • A realistic look at how criminals cover their tracks, allow others to suffer for their crimes but retribution is at hand

  • Not my usual cup of teaI try to stay away from crime type of novels, but this was very good So much so that I finished it on one rainy Saturday just to find out who done it

  • Not as good as I thought it would be based on the glowing reviews but still a decent enough read However it is not a book I m likely to read a second time. The majority of this book is about the court system it s flaws The real killer s are on the loose while the innocent rot away in jail The author did a fine job at making me wonder if the convicted murderer, Molly would finally get out of prison or if the court system would manage to keep her firmly in place While this is the central theme to t [...]

  • Everything about this book was predictable from the moment you are introduced to the case That said, it was still a story of suspense and therefore enjoyable The familiar characters from the first book were as likeable the second time around but lacked growth I read about Marti, and I realise now why her books have had such a realism to the law side of things Definitely the best parts of this book I think her characters can do with some fleshing out though and as mentioned it would be great to s [...]

  • Good Read About People and GreedWrongfully imprisoned because of people and greed Great read involving family, friends, business partners, politicians and those who want without caring who gets trampled or destroyed in the process I know this is fiction but, yeah, I can see this happening in real life which doesn t say much about the world we live in today.

  • I love stumbling across a new series that is captivating, well written, offers a good mystery, and has characters who are fleshed out This is book 2 in the Innocent Prisoners Project series Doesn t sound like a title that would pull me in but they do.

  • Awesome seriesI have read the first 2 books in this series within 48hrs Couldn t put them down I am an avid reader and absolutely loved the story and writing keeps you wanting Can t wait to start the next book

  • 3.5 starsReview to come laterListened to the audio The story was much better than book one I still at times get really frustrated with the dialogue A lot of the word choice is unnatural and too formal across the board.

  • Wow Again I love the storyline and how it started to unravel at the end I hope stories like this are based on true life examples because putting an innocent behind bars or to death is just wrong Looking forward to next book.

  • A ruined book by a political agendaThe author ruined a good story by expressing her political agenda that implies that Republicans are corrupted You surely voted for HRC right

  • Terrific I m absolutely l You want to stay up all night Loving these books The series so far is great Must read series

  • Stinging Slap to Those who Defraud Their ConsituentsIt was a joy reading Presumption of Guilt by Marti Green I was impressed with her plot, her strategy throughout the book to achieve her ending and her use of the various characters who played such a necessary part in making her book strong and believeable And, it was believeable It wasn t long into the book that I felt I was reading a true case study instead of fiction.Molly Singer was a normal 18 year old with the normal raging hormones who co [...]
